TTS Ecosystem Investigation Station

Overview

• Encourages wildlife interaction via a wormery, water tank, and bug hotel, supporting practical ecosystem education.

• Children and adults can use this station to support their early understandings of the natural world around them. With a space for a wormery, children can observe how animals live. (Please note no bedding material or composting worms are included). With a plastic Perspex tank to encourage waterlife, this includes a wooden plank for animals to get in and out of water. (Please refer to animal guidance on how to care and support living creatures). This tank also includes a lid. Tank dimensions: H48cm x W64cm x D27cm. It features trellises that can be used to hang plants and flowers on. The back features a bug hotel in one quarter that can be used to fill with naturally found objects such as dry leaves, dead grass, pine cones, bark and twigs (please risk assess). It is a wonderful station where children can observe different ecosystems and nature in one space to encourage them to investigate and discover. With the storage compartments in the back, children can have access things such as mark making equipment and magnifying glasses to further their understanding of ecosystems. Overall depth with the tank on the side is 106cm. Height at highest point is 95.5cm and lowest point 85cm,
