By Year four, it aids in recognising the place value of each digit in a four-digit number (1,000s, 100s, 10s, and 1s). For Year six, it supports identifying the value of each digit in numbers given to three decimal places, and multiplying and dividing numbers by 10, 100, and 1,000, giving answers up to three decimal places.
