Teacher Place Value Arrows

Overview

• Durable, no-tear, high-quality plastic arrows, printed 0-9, 10-90, 100-900. There are nine of each type of arrow (27 pieces in total).

• Teachers will find these place value arrows very useful for helping children understand number concepts. Made from durable plastic, they withstand regular classroom use. Colour-coded arrows help children easily recognise and differentiate units, tens, and hundreds, supporting interactive learning and reinforcing key maths concepts.

• In Year 1, children use these arrows to count to and across one hundred, forwards and backwards, starting from any number. This hands-on approach aids in understanding number sequences and counting. By manipulating the arrows, children grasp place value and its importance.

• For Year 2 and Year 3, the arrows help children recognise the place value of each digit in two-digit and three-digit numbers. This tool aligns with curriculum aims: recognising tens and ones in Year 2, and hundreds, tens, and ones in Year 3.
