Bee nester constructed in durable timber with stacking trays and opening lid for observation and cleaning.

• Safe for use around children, the holes in the hive are a specific size, in order to attract non-swarming, solitary bees.

• The roof section of the hive flips up, to reveal a Perspex covered tray, which allows for easy monitoring of larvae development and the nest activity of the bees.

• The stacking trays can be carefully separated to view the formation of small cells where eggs are laid or where predators have been active.

• A solitary beehive is an engaging and hands-on resource to promote wildlife observation skills as well as helping children explore pollinators, biodiversity, ecosystems and the importance of bees in the environment.
